Our Story
My inspiration for interior design came from my Father who was a designer and manufacturer of women’s leather handbags.
I would watch him sketch a design and see it transform into a beautiful designer bag.
I have always loved collecting vintage pieces, restoring furniture and finding that perfect fabric to cover that chair. My passion is for creating beautifulspaces utilising my eye for colour and attention to detail.
Doing what I love, I began interior decorating 25 years ago. To enhance my knowledge and skills I attended one of Sydney’s premier design schools and completed a course in Interior Decoration and Design.
Whilst I’m not into trends, some of my popular design concepts include the Hamptons and French Provincial styles.
Classic never dates.
My dream of running my own homewares business was realised when, with enormous help from my sister Jenny and niece Olivia, I opened Trouve at Terrigal in the Crown Plaza in 2010. Then later the move to bigger premises due to an increasing demand to Erina. I am proud to say many of my clients being tourists from all over the country discovered what I had to offer and have remained intensely loyal.
Along side Jenny my sister, now business partner, our Erina store over the past four years has truly grown. We are committed to bringing the highest quality, ethically and sustainable fashion and products from our suppliers.
We proudly support other Australian small business.
